His quote included options for three different systems, each with a different efficiency/ cost. The entire process could not have been easier; no pressure and no nonsense. Hometown Heros showed up next day on time and helped me solve my Mini Split’s leaking drainage pipe problem in two days. I’m extremely grateful for getting their contact on google and for their awesome communication and professionalism. Eric Hessee was my technician and he’s very knowledgeable about mini splits and its not easy to find someone with good knowledge and experience on mini-splits within most traditional HVAC companies at least from my experience. The drain pipe is in a small and awkward space and is hard to reach and connect but Eric did it with care and a lot of attention to details. He also cleaned my external condenser unit with a hose before he left - I’m so grateful about everything he did and would definitely consider using Hometown Heros to service my HVAC system on a regular basis and recommend the company to people I know

So far I could not be more pleased with the service I have received. I called them to come out after another company had overcharged me and then within a week I was having new issues. My A/C went out during 100+ degree heatwave. I scheduled appointment online late at night and Hometown Heroes came out the next day. Luis texted and called when he was on the way and arrived promptly. He was professional and transparent as he worked on my system. He explained options and seemed to have a good level of integrity. In the end, he got the A/C back up and running quickly, which was wonderful. I hope the leak sealant works for 3-5 years as expected.

We've had Hometown Heros out to service our a/c unit which wasn't cooling. James came out and worked on the problem for quite a while. When he was finished, he not only found the problem, he explained to us (so that we could understand) what was going on and what he did. Service was ok, tech seemed knowledgeable but, advised at first could wave the diagnostic fee, which was great. Then when time to pay said he couldn't. Didn't appreciate, that, felt like that was ploy to get service. With temps at 100 degree and above I couldnt argue. But fixed the A/C.

I reached out to Hometown Heroes through Thumbstack after getting quoted for $6,000 to replace our unit by another "big name" company. Andrew came out next day, and instead of trying to sell us a new unit, he provided different options to help us save money. He was direct, throughout and honest! My parents air conditioner stopped working on a Sunday and one of the hottest days of the summer. I called Hometown Heroes because my husband and I had used them earlier in the summer and they were great. I called them for my parents at 3 pm on a Sunday. At 4:30, someone was at their house working on the unit. So impressed with the response time of this company. Their customer service on the phone and in person is exceptional!

A gentleman came out for the second time to look at my air conditioner unit because it was blowing warm air. He told me I needed a whole new unit because if he put some parts on it, it would only last a couple of days. He had me fill out a couple of applications for $10,000 because that's what he said I needed. I had a different company come out and told me I only needed a new fan motor, much cheaper. I ended up spending $140.The guy from hometown heroes put a hard start part on my unit which would've in turn caused by compressor on my unit to go out. It was definitely unhooked. Definitely get a second opinion because hometown heroes obviously work on commission. Now, hometown heroes decided to turn my son on to collections. Hometown heroes, come get this part that you put on that I didn't need and you could've made my WHOLE unit break down!

They did a great job of installing my new water heater, and they even cleaned up the water off of the basement floor that had leaked. Thank you!

Don't go with this these guys if you're trying to get any rebates from Evergy. The evergy authorized dealers are supposed to go through the steps to get you the rebates, and these guys, even though we had the rebates out on the table when we were going through the sales pitches, didn't make sure that the "blower unit" had an AHRI certificate. Evergy site mentions nothing of this and we thought we were buying an air source heat pump that qualified for the rebate because it was a Seer 17. Another sales company with a bunch of smoke and mirrors.

Bryan, Andrew, Brian, and the rest of the Hometown Heros team were great to work with. They replaced our heat pump system. Our AC went out and Bryan responded to me immediately that evening, and spent a significant amount of time answering questions, talking through options, etc. He sent me an initial quote that night and had updated information by the morning. Bryan made us feel like we were their top priority as we tried to figure out next steps on our system replacement. Once we decided on an option, Andrew was out that day to walk every thing down, talk through the install process and answer any questions. Hometown Heros were out that next day for the install. The team was very considerate, communicated updates and were great to work with. The new systems is amazing, better than expected and the area was thoroughly cleaned before they left. Thank you!
